GRFF Starts tonight!

The Grand River Film Festival (GRFF) starts tonight and runs till the 25th.

As a pre-cursor to the festival, the GRFF held the BMO SHORT Shorts Competition.
RQ had a dvd of the finalists... and some of them were really great!

Honourable mentions from the RQ review team go to:

'A Warning Of Things To Come'
Jonathan Stainton, Toronto

'Bring On The Pain'
Benjamin Rouse, Toronto/Cambridge

'Her'
Angus McLellan, Guelph

'The Way It Used To Be'
Sarah Lazarovic, Toronto

'Waiting For The Tall Man'
Chris Limisis, Tyler Mah, Toronto

If you're not on this list, we made fun of your short for 1 of 2 reasons.
1. it was shit. 2. it was too long.

So tonight the real festival starts... and there's a ton of great films being shows, as well as Director visits and inteviews... and a couple parties apparently.

To get all the details or to buy tix to a screening, go here.

I'd like to see An American Crime... but i think it's only showing on Saturday and that day is already PACKED. God i love Ellen Page and i LOVE Catherine Keener.

If you check out any of the shows, lemme know.
