This has nothing to do with anything local... but i thought some of you might find this useful.

I work with a guy who is based in Austin, TX... we started talking about music/i was trying to convince him to pay for me to take a work trip to SxSW next year... and he said that his friend started this site... Spooonful.com

Basically, they email you a new band a week that they think is worth listening to. This week it was:
