Sustainable Waterloo is looking for 1 special volunteer to manage their New Ambassador Program.

You'll be driving member participation rates in the Regional Carbon Initiative and working to build awareness of what SW is up to.

Job Title:
Ambassador Program Manager

Job Purpose:
Sustainable Waterloo’s Ambassador Program will drive Regional Carbon Initiative membership uptake and overall awareness of Sustainable Waterloo by allowing selected community advocates to promote Sustainable Waterloo’s member benefits through the use of their own business and social networks.

The Ambassador Program Manager is responsible for the coordination, implementation and ongoing development of the program.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Act as a Liaison between Sustainable Waterloo and the Ambassador program and its Ambassadors
• Update the Ambassadors on important organizational information and changes
• Work in conjunction with the marketing team to update and/or develop Ambassador marketing materials
• Maintain ambassador portal content
• Organize quarterly ambassador meetings, training sessions and social events
• Review applications for Ambassadors
• Collect and record critical milestones for Ambassadors
• Review progress of individual Ambassadors on a quarterly basis
• Maintain online tool that records metrics on Ambassador interactions

Skills needed to be successful in this role:
• Strong communication skills
• Time management and organizational skills
• Experience in Marketing or Project Management an asset
• Experience in training and presenting an asset
• Comfortable managing people remotely

Time commitment:

Approximately 6 hours a week plus weekly team meetings.
