What do you LIKE?

I’ve had a couple of bureaucratic days – with the ACAC meeting on Tuesday and a lesson in Cultural Policy last night. We live in such an interesting city, in my opinion, because there are so many little niche scenes going on at all times… I find it totally overwhelming at times – and find it impossible to understand when people say there is nothing to do here.

If you think there is nothing to do in this place, than you actually just don’t have any interests. None at all. Because if you have AN interest – I guarantee that there is some way – either locally or virtually for you to get involved with it. I mean, THIS exists for christ’s sake. You just have to KNOW what you LIKE.

If you’re thing is startups – you might be interested in checking this new site that Joseph Fung and Jesse Rodgers have put together. And you can still catch one more day of Communitech's Entrepreneur Week... which has been the greatest thing since sliced bread.

Do we need, as a region, a directory of weird subgroups and niche sites? Maybe.

Tonight I’m up to Sushi with my Bro and his GF at Sakura Island on King. Fingers Crossed for a booth!

H.
