ART - the fine kind...

There's a lot of conversation going on today about arts in our community. The City of Waterloo released their budget, and have committed to loaning CCGG some emergency cash. Here's the Record article about that.

I had written quite a smarmy response about that, but will spare you by not posting... in short, i hope that that gallery can get it's shit together. 'nough said.

  1. don't spare us, post it!

I've never been to the Clay and Glass Gallery, so I can't really say if I think it adds value to the community or not. Although I don't know of anyone who has visited.

I think the bit about the grant in order to hire a consultant MAY be good news. Obviously they don't know what they're doing in terms of money (how surprising for an arts organization...) hopefully this changes that.

Of course how effective this will be really relies on heavily competent the consultant they hire is....
