"Come down off the cross asshole, we need the lumber"

To counter our experience in consumerism, we headed to the Original Princess to catch the film "Collapse". I still haven't decided if this was a great or horrible idea.

The movie is awesome for anyone that already believes or is starting to admit that our society is a bit more than a little fucked up.

"Collapse" is a 70 minute interview with Michael C. Ruppert, a published author and radical thinker. Normally, i like to poke a lot of holes in these sorts of films... like Zeitgeist - man, i hated the way the information was delivered in that. But what i liked about this one, was that it's interview or lecture style, just some guy delivering his information, with a couple stock images and a couple drawn graphs. Simple, to the point, honest. Saying that, if you read through his wikipedia page, they provide a lot of information to discredit his character and his analytical practices, so you know, make up your own mind.

It covers the stuff you probably expect: Peak Oil, Energy Crisis, The War on Terror, Currency, World Population and his take on society's collape.

Some of it is hard to believe, some of it is hard to ignore... you should see it. And then we can make plans for the apocalypse. I changed my mind Mom, i don't want a camera for the holidays, i want sub zero-thermal long johns, a fishing rod and a solar powered water purifier.

H.

PS. the name of this post is a direct quote from the movie. amazing. let the controversy begin.

  2. In efforts to sound overly mean and judgmental, zeitgeist is the idiot-who-spends-too-much-time- on-YouTube's favourite movie.
