Jan for Mayor ?

Councillor Jan D’Ailly of Waterloo has announced that he is running for Mayor of Waterloo next year.

This is what the Record has to say about him:

“Residents re-elected d’Ailly in 2006 after a run-in with the law in 2004. He had to comply with the terms of a peace bond, commonly known as a restraining order, in return for the withdrawal of an assault charge laid after he slapped his wife.”

Sounds like the ideal candidate to me.
