Dinner and a Movie

Last night was about the only night that I've had to do nothing in a while. It was pretty stellar.

We watched The Road after dinner and it was... intense, to say the least.

P had read the book while he was on tour last year = worst.idea.ever.

I can't think of a less appropriate novel to read while travelling across flat/depressed northern and central Canada with 3 other dudes in a pretty sketchy propane van.

Anyway, i knew all about the book, but couldn't bring myself to read it. Thought the movie might be a quick way to be in the cool kid club on the story - while not having to fall into a massive depression getting through the book. lame, i know. but i'm a delicate flower, you know? I gotta tread lightly on this post-apocalyptic shit.

Movie was great. Terrifying, but great.

I realized i've been slacking on my 2010 goal of figuring some survivalist shit out... you know, just in case.
