ReplyDeleteI'm #6 in the delegations to speak. Hopefully everyone with an interest in this will come out. Letters to The Record and Facebook groups are good, but showing up in person before breakfast says "this is important".
The only data I have at this point:
* Cathy Matyas turned our library around and rocked it for 7 years
* library staff love her
* she was fired by the board mid-January with no public explanation
* she welcomes a public discussion of the board's rationale
Read the press on her accomplishments. Read the library board meeting minutes for the last five years. Let's figure this out.
