Cocktoberfest

Alright, i feel obligated to acknowledge that it is this time of year again.

Here's what's happening for the opening ceremonies :

FRIDAY at Kitchener City Hall

From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., for a donation of $3.50, grab an Cocktoberfest sausage on a bun and soft drink served by Kitchener Council and city staff volunteers. All proceeds will go to the food bank.

The Oktoberfest preshow starts at 11 a.m., and includes the official keg tapping, entertainment by Tattered and Torn, Alicia Nauth, the Weber Brothers, and the Black Forest Band.

Fireworks show at 9 p.m.

SATURDAY

All day events in downtown Kitchener starting at 10 a.m. and running until 5 p.m.

The "Water Wagon" will be at the opening events - it's a pilot project in distributing tap water at City of Kitchener and Region of Waterloo events. Bring a reusable water bottle to fill at the wagon. It's about fucking time. If you are ever hosting or organizing an event you should do this - or face the disappointed head shake by every decent person in this region.

Thanksgiving Parade - 8:30am.... ugh.
