More Barrel Fun

So, the pyramid of whiskey barrels was dismantled from in front of CIGI Wed and Thurs to make room for the "Basillie Centre of Excellence". I guess a similar venture as CIGI but for business? I'm not sure on the details.

I found out about the barrel giveaway last minute, and was desperate to get one.
The barrels for me, as I'm sure with many others, was a true landmark of Waterloo and it will be greatly missed.

We raced there at Noon yesterday, as first i thought i could live without one - if they were all gone - but on the way there i started to seriously panic! i needed to have one! my life would not be complete without one!

Luckily, we got one from the last 10 available. I believe that the City is keeping about 100, to later reassemble in a new spot...

To all those that didn't make it - I'm sure a couple will end up on kijiji soon... keep your eyes open. As soon as our project is finished, i'll take some shots for you of ours. Should be done in the next week or so!

It was a tight fit. But we got it home. lol. we were also harrassed by an angry man with a pick up truck who thought the whole thing was a little ridiculous. maybe it was... lol.
