I wasn't really soooo into going to the show, other than I thought it would be a fun night out, but i was completely impressed. they are great performers.
The set, with 2 encores, was over 2.5 hours and Edge didn't even break a sweat. Some musicians just know how to make that shit look easy. Not even to mention his vocals, which are beautiful- he has a very authentic voice... it's like he's just singing in his kitchen or something.
Bono was great too - man, that guy just has some crazy energy about him... and people say that, but really, you can see it. Plus, the whole political angle to the show is juuuuust right. Pretty inspiring.
Plus, he knows his ability... totally knows he can't hit that high note in Sunday Bloody Sunday, so he just didn't sing it - the crowd carried it along and he did some accompaniment. stay classy Bono.
The show was also a total win for every AV club kid that ever lived. Jesus, the visuals were unreal.
There was this crazy honeycomb screen that kept changing shapes. very cool.
And at this point, i may have actually welled up ... yep. i'm admitting that.
When i was travelling in Australia a couple years ago, i hung out on a yacht for the couple days around New Years. On New Year's Day, i woke up to this song BLARING out of a boat that was rafted up with us in the middle of the Whitsundays. So amazing. i have some unreal photos of that... i should find'em.
Couple Photos.

We had floor tix, which was awesome. we got pretty close to the stage... right out in front. So good standing on astroturf - way better than standing on concrete at the ACC.
HILARIOUS shout out to RIM by Bono at the end of the show.... "thank you BlackBerry for helping us build this madness"
and a great shoutout to Harper, deserved or not... "the world needs more Canadas, stand by that"
alright, i think i've had enough of the kool-aid. hope all you cats checking it out tonight have a good time.
oh, and good luck with the traffic on the way home.
H.
