The CCGG

Lots and Lots of discussion and controversy happening over The Canadian Clay and Glass Gallery located in Uptown.

They need cash, and have asked the City of Waterloo to spot them $100, 000.
Apparently the decision is being made on Monday.

In my statistically irrelevant poll of acquaintances and family - i've found there is an overwhelming sense of meh. No one seems to care what happens to this place, and I think that is probably the root of the problem to begin with.

If you are in favour of the City of Waterloo providing the loan, please send your support, best stories and experiences of your visits to info@canadianclayandglass.ca.

What seems to be the real step in the right direction is this upcoming Event:

The Canadian Clay & Glass Gallery's Masquerade
A fantastic evening of intrigue.
January 9th, 8pm - midnight

The Twelfth Day of Christmas is the traditional time for Masked Balls since the Romans. The spirit of this festival was transported to the America’s through the New Orleans Mardi Gras. These celebrations, where we hide our identities, provided freedom from rigid social structures. They could also cultivate treachery. The Canadian Clay & Glass Gallery's Masquerade will become the setting for such revelry and mystery this Twelfth Night weekend.

Dress in costume or formal attire. Bring a mask or can buy one at the door.

Tickets are $20, Can be purchased at the Gallery Gift Shop.

(CultureClub - this should be the second event!)
