apparently the shows been picked up and they'll be shooting again Sept 23/24.
head to Kitchener city hall if you want to try and be on camera.
Essentially it sounds like a repurposed Corner Gas for central Canada.
"...a 30-something bartender who lives and works in the fictional city of Wessex, Ontario. Dan’s had the same friends since grade school, his most prized possession is a vintage Ms. Pac-Man game, and his last serious relationship was with a girl who is now engaged to someone else. His life seems to be firmly on the path to more of the same… until a chance comment suddenly puts him in the running for mayor of Wessex. Dan for Mayor charts Dan’s voyage of self-discovery as he, along with best friend Jeff and ex-girlfriend Claire, stumble their way towards election night."
- from TV, eh?
Huether Hotel makes an appearance as "Fern's Grill" - Dan's place of employment...
and my friend eClarke's front door has been scouted as the exterior of his place.
Funny.

Is it sad that I really want to see this show?
ReplyDeleteI know it will be lame, but you know I love my city, and I can't wait to see it on the tv...
No, i agree.
ReplyDeletemy love for the city will overpower my hatred of canadian television.
i will even fess up to the fact that i have watched episodes of "flashpoint" just to giggle over the fact that it's filmed in To.

I have to say, Flashpoint really isn't that bad. It's actually pretty good. Except that it is somewhat predictable. Production values on it feel wayyy higher than on other Canadian tv shows though. It's actually the only cop show I watch.
ReplyDeleteI also watched last season of Being Erica, and will probably watch this season. You can definitely tell it's a Canadian produced tv show, and it is kind of lame, but it's also kind of fun...
